Potential disastrous events can strike a business such as the recent natural disasters (fires and floods) and uncommon events like earthquakes and hurricanes. The disastrous events in our recent months keep threatening and challenging us to build upon our contingency plans. How prepared are we?
I hear from friends, family, and coworkers about people affected by the recent devastations around our country. It saddened me beyond words. The first question that comes to mind is how can I help? What does my company provide that can be a resource to the first responders, law enforcement, and medical personnel?
Recently at an event in Napa Valley, I spoke with a local hotel owner that worked closely with the fire response teams on the most recent fires in Napa County that destroyed over 571 structures reported by CNN.com. He asked me about our product, the TAG TECSLATE™ that was being used for the event. The device kept track of vehicles with a software GPS solution from US Fleet Tracking. He witnessed and recognized the TAG TECSLATE™ to be a great technology resource for collaborating and building contingency planning in case of a disaster.
